Scorecast & Wincast Betting Explained

Two such football betting markets are definitely ‘Scorecast’ and ‘Wincast’ – arguably the trickiest of all betting selections. Still, with a thorough research and a solid strategy behind it, these two markets can result in some of the biggest rewards you can get.

Scorecast & Wincast

A scorecast is basically a bet on the first (or last) player to score a goal and the correct score in the same match. At the time of bet placement, bettors are required to specify the goal scorer and make a correct score prediction for whopping odds that often and regularly exceed 10/1, going all the way to 150/1.

Wincast bet is a slightly different version of the Scorecast market. The Wincast requires bettors to select a player to score anytime during the match and his team to win in a double bet. Wincast tend to be more popular bets with tipsters and bookmakers alike, who will often include those markets in special deals, bonuses and enhanced odds offers. The prices for this market often range somewhere between 4/1 and 50/1 and even though both of these markets are difficult to get right, the notion they are meant only for pros is an utterly wrong one.

What you need to know prior to making a scorecast and wincast bets is that own goals do not count in this market. So, if your selection was Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score and Manchester United to win (2-0), but then the first goal in a 2-0 win over Hull City becomes an own goal and the second one gets scored by the Swedish striker, the winning forecast will move to be Ibrahimovic – Man Utd 2-0.

Strategy

Having mentioned Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the example above, one of the most important aspects of a successful Scorecast & Wincast bet is to find a prolific scorer with a proclivity for goals and teams with clearly visible and identifiable trends in results.

And although the experienced Swede is considered a surprising bet in the Premier League this season, given his age and the fact he has just joined the demanding world of the Premier League, a safer bet and a more evident example could be Barcelona and any member of their prolific MSN trio.

Taking the average score in consideration and the fact that almost each of Barcelona’s game will have either Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar or all of them on the scoresheet, gives plenty of value to grab more lucrative odds that to bet on Barcelona to win.

And while there is hardly any strategy to help you predict the correct score and the first scorer to guess the scorecast right, wincast is the more advantageous opportunity and the one which easily become a more useful one to get you on the receiving end of big odds.
