When betting with 2Up early payout in your favour, you will be paid as a winner if your team goes two goals ahead at any point in the game, regardless of the final score. What is 2Up Betting?

The 2Up early payout offer does pretty much what it says on the tin. Back a team to win in the match result market. If your team goes two goals up at any time, your bet wins. Any scoreline counts, whether that be 2-0, 3-1, 4-2, 5-3, etc. As long as your team is two goals clear, your bet will be paid out.

2Up early payout is available at selected football bookmakers. The offer usually applies to pre-match bets in the standard 90-minute match result market. Some bookies automatically apply 2Up to eligible pre-match WLD bets on qualifying games. At others, you might need to specifically place your bet in a 2Up pre-match market, where the odds may be shorter than in the standard match result market.

How Does 2Up Betting Work?

Let’s take a look at how 2Up works in practice. Consider a Premier League clash between Aston Villa and Newcastle United at Villa Park, with Newcastle United available to back at 3/1. Having studied the form, team news, and our natural bias towards the black-and-whites, we place a £10 bet on the mighty Magpies to win in the match result market.

To our delight, Newcastle make a solid start and take a 1-0 lead into the break. Even better, the visitors strike again within ten minutes of the restart to make it 2-0. A nice situation to be in, but without 2Up, we would still need to sweat the final 35 minutes, hoping that Newcastle hung on. However, with 2Up, our bet won at the second Newcastle took that 2-0 lead. No 35 minutes (plus stoppage time) of potential anguish, just £40 (£30 profit plus our £10 stake) on a beeline to our betting account.

As we suspected they might, Newcastle capitulate in the final half-hour and lose 3-2 courtesy of a 96th-minute own-goal. Such is life as a Newcastle fan, but with 2Up, at least we still have our winnings.

One important thing to note is that 2Up is an additional way to win, not a requirement for winning. With 2Up, there are two ways to win:

• Firstly, we win if our team wins in 90 minutes as normal, regardless of whether they were two goals ahead at any stage.
• Secondly, we win if our team is two goals clear at any time (2-0, 3-1, 4-2, 5-3, etc.) but ultimately draws or loses the match.

Note that, unless otherwise stated, 2Up applies to the standard 90 minutes plus stoppage time, i.e. extra time does not count for cup games.

Does 2Up Early Payout Apply to Accumulators?

Good news for acca fans! Several UK bookmakers apply the 2Up promotion to accumulators. When the offer applies, if a specific selection goes two up at any stage, that leg is settled as a winner. The rest of the accumulator continues to run as normal, although 2Up can apply to every leg if all selections qualify. Of course, having one or more legs win via 2Up is only part of the job; the remaining legs must win for the acca to pay out.

Not all bookmakers allow 2Up on accumulators. It is also worth noting that cash-out and/or acca boosts may not apply to accas containing 2Up legs. Always check the specific promotional terms with your bookmaker.

Is 2Up Early Payout Worth It?

Any promotion that can turn a losing bet into a winning bet is always worth considering. Having lost count of how many times we have witnessed sides cough up a two-goal lead over the years, we are always happy to have the 2Up offer on our side – as long as the price isn’t too high.

The main thing to consider is the cost of betting with the 2Up offer. If you can choose between backing a team to win with 2Up or without 2Up and the odds are the same either way, you should ALWAYS bet with 2Up – provided the terms are otherwise identical, there is no downside. However, that isn’t always the case. Many bookmakers offer a shorter price in the 2Up market than in the market without the 2Up concession. For example:
