Ben Stokes can make his presence felt with both the bat and ball but comes into the series on the back of some time away from cricket, so will need to really hit the ground running.
Joe Root has played magnificently away from home in both Sri Lanka and India over the past couple of years. Australia brings a completely different type of challenge for the captain, but he needs to bring the same level of form and lead the batting line up, as well as being a vocal leader as captain.
If all of that happens, then England would have a chance to win the series, but there is a lot that needs to come together.
