Why Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a disgrace to English football

Mourino

So it turns out that the whole Chelsea squad are right behind Jose Mourinho as they bid to “turn a corner” during a season which has seen the Blues regularly fall flat on their face.

John Terry claims that “everyone is giving 100%” although does that really include Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic whose performances have nose-dived since they were the first two names on the PFA Team of the Year sheet?

Perhaps Mourinho thought he was going to land John Stones from Everton in the summer and perhaps Stones would have provided Chelsea with a more stubborn defence, although would they still be in the title running if the young Everton defender’s transfer request had been granted?

Something appears rotten at Stamford Bridge and that certainly applies to Mourinho’s treatment of club doctors, referees and the media. With regard to the latter, everything’s rosy and a lark when results are going right, although a few defeats and the Chelsea manager point blank refuses to answer the most simple of questions.

Mourinho has always spoken disrespectfully of other managers, especially Arsene Wenger who has previously been described as a “voyeur” and an “expert in failure”. How the Frenchman would love to win the title this season with those words still ringing in his ears.

The Chelsea manager doesn’t care about the rules, whether they relate to whether a player needs treatment, what he can / can’t say to referees and his blue-tinted spectacles when regarding refereeing decisions are embarrassing to the club and to English football as a whole.

Chelsea head to Stoke this weekend and Paddy Power make them even money favourites to claim three points, with the Blues playing out a 1-1 draw at the Britannia Stadium in the Capital One Cup recently.
