The final novelty way of betting on football to look at involves international football. Prior to a tournament taking place, managers have to name a squad of players they are going to take to the tournament.
These players are officially unveiled and given a squad number, but before this happens, fans are able to bet on them. This means you can bet on who will make the England squad at the next major tournament, either going with those who are favourites to make the squad or taking a punt on someone else to find a way in at a bigger price.
