It's already been a busy year for new UK bookmakers.

Rather than seeing one or two major launches, we've seen a steady stream of new betting sites appear throughout 2026. Some are completely new brands, while others come from operators already running betting or casino sites in Britain.

Here are some of the names worth knowing.

Lad Bet

Lad Bet is one of the newest betting sites to arrive in the UK in 2026.

The sportsbook operates under Jupiter Gaming Limited and entered the market during the summer. It offers the sort of features you'd expect from a modern online bookmaker, including pre-match and live sports betting.

For us, the important bit is simple: it's another genuinely new name for UK punters rather than an established bookmaker getting a fresh coat of paint.

Stakewise

Stakewise joined the UK market in June 2026.

It operates under Rocbrook Limited and holds its own UK Gambling Commission licence. The site offers both real-event and virtual-event betting.

Stakewise is also interesting because it uses the Swifty Global sportsbook platform, technology also associated with several other newer UK betting brands.

BetPro IQ

BetPro IQ isn't your standard bookmaker.

Instead of simply depositing money and betting in the traditional way, its model revolves around a betting challenge that can give successful customers access to a funded betting account.

That makes BetPro IQ one of the more unusual betting launches we've seen in 2026.

Rightbet

Rightbet is another newcomer that appeared during 2026.

It operates under the Betable Limited UKGC licence and offers UK customers a full online sportsbook.

The brand shares its operator with Ivy Bet, but the two run as separate betting sites.

Ivy Bet

Ivy Bet is another new bookmaker operating under Betable Limited.

It arrived alongside the latest wave of UK betting sites in 2026 and offers sports betting across football, horse racing and other major sports.

Having the same licence holder as another bookmaker doesn't automatically mean the sites are identical, so we still review each betting site separately.

Meta Betting

Meta Betting arrived at the start of 2026 and is operated by Clarkson Bell Ltd.

The bookmaker uses the Swifty Global platform and offers features including live betting and quick withdrawals.

It's another example of the smaller, independent-looking brands that have become increasingly common in the UK betting market.

BetCrown

BetCrown is one of several bookmakers operating under Anakatech Interactive Limited.

It launched in 2026 and shares its UKGC licence with brands including BetLegend, 7bet and Betnero.

That doesn't necessarily make them the same betting site. But shared licences and platforms are something we look at when comparing new bookmakers.

PlayUK

PlayUK isn't a completely new gambling brand, but its sportsbook is new.

The site was already established as an online casino before adding sports betting in 2026.

We include sites like this because they're still new options for UK sports bettors, even if the underlying brand has been around for longer.

Fitzwilliam Sports

Fitzwilliam Sports is another bookmaker to appear on our radar in 2026.

It is operated by SBKI Limited and effectively replaces the previous FitzBet brand.

The important distinction here is that this isn't simply another completely unrelated bookmaker appearing overnight. There's history behind the operator and the previous FitzBet product.

Which Betting Sites Are Coming Soon?

This is where things get more interesting.

Several companies now have active UK gambling licences but don't yet have a fully launched betting site.

An active licence doesn't guarantee that a bookmaker will launch immediately. A company can still be sorting out its website, payments, sportsbook technology, compliance and commercial agreements.

But it gives us a pretty good clue about where the next wave of new betting sites could come from.

Rambo Bet

Rambo Bet is one of the most interesting upcoming bookmakers we're currently tracking.

The brand is connected to Ballyhack Sports and Gaming (BSG) Limited and has an active UKGC betting licence.

Its Rambo Bet domain has also appeared alongside the licensing information, suggesting this one is much further along than a company with nothing more than a licence application.

We'll add it to our main new betting sites list once the sportsbook is properly live and available to UK customers.

DC Bet

DC Bet is another name to watch.

The operator behind the brand already has an active betting licence and a UK-facing domain has appeared.

For now, we're keeping it in our "coming soon" category rather than calling it a live bookmaker.

That's an important distinction. A licence can be active before a sportsbook actually starts accepting bets.

Greenlight Bet

Greenlight Bet has also moved beyond the application stage.

Its UKGC betting licence is active and a UK domain has been identified, but the sportsbook has yet to become an established live betting site.

We'll continue checking it and move Greenlight Bet into our launched list once we're satisfied UK customers can actually register and bet.

Silkbet

Silkbet is another potential new bookmaker preparing to enter the UK.

The company has active permissions covering real and virtual betting events, while a Silkbet UK domain has also appeared.

There's still a difference between having the paperwork in place and having a fully operational sportsbook, though, so for now it stays on our coming-soon list.

What Does a Pending UKGC Licence Mean?

A pending UK Gambling Commission licence doesn't mean a betting site is licensed.

It means an application is being considered.

That's why we separate pending applications from active licences and live betting sites.

Our status system is simple:

🟢 Live - the betting site has launched and is available to UK customers.

🟠 Licence Active - the operator has an active relevant UKGC licence, but the new sportsbook isn't confirmed as fully launched.

🟡 Licence Pending - an application is being processed and the operator should not be treated as a licensed live betting site yet.

That distinction matters.

We don't list a bookmaker as a fully licensed live UK betting site simply because we've spotted a company name or an upcoming domain.

How We Find New Betting Sites Before They Launch

Finding a new bookmaker isn't just a case of Googling "new betting sites".

We look at several signals.

The first is UK Gambling Commission licensing activity. New licence applications and recently activated licences can give an early indication that another bookmaker is preparing to launch.

We then look for things such as:

• Newly registered or announced betting brands
• Domains connected with licensed operators
• New sportsbooks appearing on existing gambling sites
• Changes to UKGC licence information
• New operator and platform partnerships
• Sites beginning to accept UK registrations
• Official launch announcements

Only when a betting site is actually available do we move it into our launched list.

Are New Betting Sites Safe?

Being new doesn't automatically make a betting site better or worse.

What matters first is whether the bookmaker is properly licensed to operate in Great Britain.

Every betting site we list as available to UK players must be covered by a valid UK Gambling Commission licence.

You can normally find the operator and licence details in the footer of the bookmaker's website and check those details against the UKGC public register.

We also look beyond the licence.

When reviewing a new bookmaker, we check things like deposits and withdrawals, sportsbook markets, betting features, customer support, bonus terms and responsible gambling tools.

A shiny new website is easy.

A good bookmaker needs to get the boring stuff right too.

There isn't always a confirmed launch date.

That's why we're careful with the word "soon".
