Summer 2025: Who Moves Next in the Transfer Window?

Transfer Rumors Summer 2025

Following a relatively quiet 2024 Summer transfer window, the world of incomings and outgoings has exploded into life in 2025. Barely a day goes by without a new rumour hitting the headlines, while other sagas seem set to drag on until the window slams shut on Monday, September 1.

With headline acquisitions Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, Liverpool are the biggest spenders of the window to date, closely followed by Chelsea. Manchester United, meanwhile, will burst into third spot as soon as the Benjamin Sesko deal is confirmed, having completely rebuilt their forward line.

Plenty of big deals are already in the books, but with three weeks of the window remaining, many more seem sure to follow. So, who could be on the move? Odds data gathered by NewBettingSites.uk suggest the following five stars are likely to be on the move this summer.

Alejandro Garnacho: Manchester United to Chelsea

It is no secret that Alejandro Garnacho wants out at Manchester United, with neither the player nor Ruben Amorim doing anything to hide his desire for a new project. Having reportedly spurned advances from the Bundesliga, in particular, it looks increasingly likely that Garnacho’s next appearance will come in the blue of Chelsea. Will he break through in the Todd Boehly system, or become another player lost in the mix?

Alexander Isak: Newcastle United to Liverpool

The big story of the summer seems set to end in a new British transfer record. Liverpool’s initial £110 million bid fell short of the £150 million quoted by Newcastle but seems to have fuelled Isak’s desire to swap St. James’s Park for Anfield. Training on his own and falling from hero to villain with the Geordie faithful, it will be a surprise to see Isak in the black and white again. The Magpies need to get a replacement in first, but their recent failed attempt to sign Sesko suggests the North East club have accepted Isak’s future lies elsewhere.

Yoane Wissa: Brentford to Newcastle United

Yoane Wissa is not the man to replace Isak. However, he has been the number one target to fill the role of Callum Wilson almost since the transfer window opened. Much like Isak, Wissa has made his wish to leave clear, with the 29-year-old viewing the switch as his last chance to experience Champions League football. This deal is expected to happen as soon as Brentford sign a new striker, much like the Newcastle situation with Isak.

Ebereche Eze: Crystal Palace to Arsenal

One of the most touted transfers of the summer appears to have gone a little quiet in recent weeks. However, the Eze Arsenal deal continues to rumble on in the background. Arsenal may need to offload a couple of players to trigger Eze’s £67.5 million release clause, but the odds suggest the Gunners will submit a bid in the closing weeks of the window.

Other names to note in what promises to be an exciting end to the window include Man City’s rising star James McAtee, Nicolas Jackson, who has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and Marc Guehi, who continues to be linked with both Liverpool and Newcastle. If the upcoming season crams in as much drama as the transfer window, the 2025/26 campaign may be one to remember.
