Neil “Razor” Ruddock: Saudi Arabia will be Mo Salah’s next move ( Interview for Newbettingsites.UK)

Neil “Razor” Ruddock Speaking to NewBettingSites.uk

Speaking to NewBettingSites.uk, former Liverpool centre-half predicts that the Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has just one season left at Liverpool before Saudi Arabia beckons

Former Liverpool defender Neil “Razor” Ruddock has told NewBettingSites.uk that he thinks Mohamed Salah will soon be the next star to trade the Premier League for a life in Saudi Arabia – potentially as soon as this summer. He also gives his thoughts on Jordan Henderson’s move back to Ajax and the backlash he received during the announcements.

Read more on what he had to say below.

Mo Salah should soon go to Saudi Arabia

The former Liverpool defender feels that Salah is almost past his prime and a transfer to Saudi Arabia would be good for Salah, as well as Liverpool FC.

Saudi will be the next step for Mo Salah. He’ll only be at Liverpool for another year. He won’t be able to go many more years in top-flight football. It’s going to take it out of him and with the pace he plays at, when he loses a couple of yards, he won’t be the Mo Salah he was.

Will Liverpool then let him run his contract down to leave on a free, or take a massive amount of money for him and say, ‘thanks very much, Mo’? I think they’ll soon sell him and use that money to strengthen the squad.

When that happens, Liverpool fans will say thank you very much. He won’t get any stick like Hendo did. They’d thank him for his service and wish him all the best over there.

It’s different for Salah than many others, with connections and massive fan base over there. I don’t think people would stand in his way and wonder what he’s doing. If Mo Salah went to Saudi Arabia that’d make so many of his fans happy. At his age, he’s done everything. People won’t begrudge Mo Salah going out there and playing football.

Henderson made a mistake – but get on with it

Although Henderson’s own move to the Middle East didn’t work out for him, Ruddock feels he has realised his mistake and is now able to move on with his career elsewhere.

It’s a crazy one seeing Jordan Henderson coming back from Saudi to play in Europe again. I can understand it – he’s someone who always gave it his all for club and country. He was a tremendous player.

You’ve got to give the lad a bit of relief. He’s gone for the money, obviously – we all know that. But what Henderson would have wanted to do at his new club was make that team better on and off the pitch. Obviously, it hasn’t happened as he hoped.

I think he would have also quickly missed playing in front of massive crowds. At the end of the day he’s got plenty of money but going out there and realising that every week you’re playing in front of 600 people? You want to play in massive stadiums in front of 60,000 people. For me, I couldn’t play in front of 600 people – I would lose interest.

Has he come back with his tail between his legs? Maybe. But now he’s playing for a massive club again [in Ajax]. He made a mistake, he’s moved on. Get on with it.
