Premier League Preview 19 & 20 September

It is week two of the new Premier League season, we saw some great games over the first weekend, lets hope for more of the same here.

With extended TV coverage in the UK, games are spread out over three days with four on Saturday, four on Sunday and two on Monday.

Here are three games that we like for bets this weekend.

Leeds vs Fulham – Saturday 3pm

The two newcomers were both beaten last weekend, however Leeds will feel great about the way they competed away at Liverpool while Fulham looked very poor against Arsenal.

They both have one thing in common though, and that is defensive problems. They conceded seven goals between them this season, something that will have to rapidly change for either to make their mark on the top flight.

Our first wager of the weekend combines that with how impressed we were with Leeds last weekend, they can pick up their first three points of the season here.

• Leeds to win & over 2.5 goals @ 29/20 with Hopa
• Arsenal -2 @ 33/10 with Hopa
• Chelsea @ 21/10 with Hopa

Arsenal vs West Ham – Saturday 8pm

West Ham fans endured a very poor 2019/20 season, much better was expected in the new campaign but they won’t be getting it if last weekend is anything to go by. It was poor again from the Hammers, and they face a team in form on Saturday night.

Hot off their FA Cup victory in August, Arsenal hit the ground running with a 3-0 win over Fulham on the opening day. We saw glimpses of this from them last season, it seems they have found the right formula this season and will fancy a shot at the top four.

A home game against West Ham offers them the perfect opportunity to put together a good performance for those watching from home. There is a big quality gap here, and also a huge difference in the confidence that both teams have at the moment.

We are not only backing Arsenal to win, but we are backing them to do it comfortably on the handicap line.

Chelsea vs Liverpool – Sunday 4:30pm

The biggest game of the weekend takes place on Sunday afternoon when Chelsea entertain last year’s champions Liverpool. Both got off to a winning start last weekend, though this game represents a far tougher task for both.

We saw Liverpool beaten in the Community Shield by Arsenal to kick off the season and while they scored four themselves last weekend, they did concede three to newcomers Leeds. This is a team that is seemingly working through the gears, and one that will be better in a few weeks from now.

That makes it a great time to play them, and while Liverpool have a far greater chance of winning the title than Chelsea, now may be the time to play, and upset, the champions.

Chelsea have a big opportunity here to lay down a marker and beat Liverpool, we are backing them to take it.
